Re-enrollment Opening Day is March 8!
Dear MOS Families,
Sate Testing begins next week. Please review the below information to address common questions.
(MI) Many students and families have asked why the school is administering state tests during the COVID Pandemic. The US Department of Education has not waived the requirement for schools to administer assessments during the 2020-2021 school year. The state of Michigan submitted a request for waiver of this requirement to the US Department of Education, however that waiver was denied. Michigan schools are required to administer state tests this school year. While the tests are computer-based the state requires that they are administered face to face by school staff. Schools that are 100% virtual/remote must offer testing just as traditional/in-person schools do with physical locations available for students to be present for testing as desired.

School Start & Support
Your first two days of school will be dedicated to orientations to help you get acquainted with the system, getting to know your support team, and hearing more about your schedule and daily routine. Information about accessing orientation sessions will be forthcoming.
Before school starts you will be receiving a username and password that will allow you to access both your computer and the online school. This will come to the email address that you used to register your student. Please continue to check email daily, including your junk and spam folders. This will be our primary method of communicating with you as we get started. Should you have any questions, please contact your dedicated student success coach who will help your student start the year off strong. Watch for emails from your student success coach, and be sure to check your spam folders every day.
